German Language Examinations in Cebu

Good news! Starting October 2016 students in the Philippines can pass their German Examination A1, A2, B1 and B2 in Cebu City at the HDC German Knowledge Sprachzentrum.
ÖSD stands for “Österreichisches Sprachdiplom Deutsch” (Austrian German Language Diploma), as well as “Österreich, Schweiz, Deutschland” (Austria, Switzerland, Germany). The using of the names of the three countries indicates the pluricentric nature of the exams, as well as recognizing the standard variations of the German language in the three different countries.

Below is a list of upcoming dates for the German language examinations by the Goethe Institute in the Philippines. The examinations corresponds to the different levels (A1 to B2) on the six-stage scale of competence levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The Goethe-Zertifikat A1/ Start Deutsch 1 can be used by spouses as proof of the German language skills that are required for them to be reunified with their partners in Germany. The certificate is also required for issuing the visa for Marriage (Fiancé).

It should be a long weekend. I came back from school on Saturday as a German teacher and was looking forward to report for work next on Wednesday only. On the night of Monday to Tuesday I suddenly felt very bad. I immediately thought of a food poisoning, because we had eaten fish in the evening. That was not a nice imagination, because I knew of such a food poisoning that can persist for several weeks. A few years ago I had experienced such a poisoning, and it took me two weeks to get back on my feet again. So I was hoping that there is something else and I can recover from on the following Tuesday.
On Tuesday was no work because it was a holiday (a Muslim holiday that was declared as a national holiday in the Philippines). In the morning I struggled out of bed, because my family was already up. It was about 7 am, and I was pretty broken through the sleepless night. After a diet breakfast for the sick I thought: Fortunately, today is a holiday. So I go right back to bed and I can hopefully recover.

The next examination Start German 1 (A1) by the Goethe Institute in Cebu will be held on August 6 and 7, 2011. Registrations to participate in this exam in Cebu must be done until July 22, 2011.

Learn German in Cebu

To study German language with a German teacher in one-on-one tutorials is a good opportunity to see in a short time good learning achievements. This opportunity is available to all interested parties in Cebu. In class established teaching materials are used. In addition, students receive multimedia (MP3, CD) as well as access to exclusive online help to make learning fun.
The courses are set in content and timing to the needs of the students. To prepare for the exam “Start Deutsch” (A1) at the Goethe Institut are currently in particular the following courses offered:
- Super-intensive course in the months of February and March – exam in April in Cebu or also in Manila possible
- Intensive course in the months of February to August – exam within the 2nd half of the year in Cebu or in Manila possible
For students outside Cebus is assistance in the search for a desired accommodation for the study period optional. Interested parties can request using the contact form.
